Well…before I get to gabbin’ n blabbin’ and forget it….I have a couple of comments I want to make on messages I got about my story yesterday about our trip …shopping along the world’s longest yard sale…..
One reader asked “How can you say ‘it’s a trip for couples’…when we all know…most husbands wouldn’t want to GO on a trip like this”? 🙂
Ok…like has happened before… 🙂 I was misunderstood….let me explain 🙂 I MEANT…”You see couples going out to supper together…and taking little vacations together….or even BIG vacations together…and I guess that’s great….We do that ourselves with our geezer group….and we have an absolute blast without exception…doing things with our own geezer group…and once in a while we’ll do things with just one of the couples in the group…a day trip or supper out……
But I just meant that this really IS an exhausting trip…but tons of fun….You are literally in and out of your car….sometimes….every 5 minutes OR LOTS LESS…as you’re going down or up…old Hwy 127……….And sometimes you’ll get out of your car for a one family yard sale….or at a school or church for a community yard sale….and there are dozens of both…along the route just from Signal Mountain to Clarkrange….and then sometimes you’ll pull off at a huge field and there will be 200 or more vendors in that field…….And if you go with your husband….or to you husbands that are reading this…if you go with your wife….YOU GUYS pretty much know each other like the backs of your hands….and YOU BOTH KNOW….how you each like to shop…even at a yard sale……Billy and I just both know by looking …as we’re coming up TO a yard sale…if either of us would want to stop…..because we know each other that well….Now sometimes he’d ask…just because we had so much ground to cover in a day after that phone call that was making us feel like we needed to be home that night……
But if you go in a group … even with just one more couple…..THEY are going to have likes and dislikes…unlike YOU and YOUR spouse and there is just SO SO much to see and do….so it would just make for an exhausting day……and you’d always be having to ask…”What do YOU want to do? Do YOU want to stop here?” SEE? :-)….At least “I” would think so…….Now if one or two ‘ladies’ went….that are close friends….it would almost be like a married couple going…if these ladies are close….because most ladies shop ‘alike’….or even 3 or 4 ladies in a group…would do well….
And that comment about most husbands wouldn’t want to GO on a trip like this…….HONESTLY??? It WAS mostly married couples that we saw…..and probably half or more of them….were our age….hahaha
Billy is Mr Congeniality…no matter where we are…..so he talked to many of the husbands along the route here and there….and many told him they’d been going to that yard sale for years….every year…..
One of the most unique things we saw along the route….was an old outhouse….for us all to use and it was in a side yard of a home….and it was an old barnwood outhouse….but when you opened the door….it was modern day plumbing inside….white porcelain commode and sink….frilly curtains…..ruffles out the wazoo…..it was adorable …and I have pics of it somewhere in one of our picture boxes….
This is a trip….that if you like yard sales….you just really need to mark your calendar and try to make it….You don’t need tons of money…..I think our motel was $57…seems like ….and if we hadn’t bought that indian warrior….we wouldn’t have spent much at all….probably no where near $100 on ‘junk’…and food both….because we skipped breakfast and just got on the road with coffee….we had lunch and supper at barbecue tents along the route….we ‘did’ have a cooler of cokes in our squad car….but my goodness….If all is fairly well in Massac and McCracken county….come this August……you’ll probably find us on Wednesday night before this world’s longest yard sale…in that same old Best Western….and we may make it a one day trip….or we may make it 2….but we’ll take the side roads …and go off the beaten path this time…and if we get to go ….I’ll have stories and pics….right here…..shall we pray…
Ok….the COCONUT OIL??? All they had at Walmart was Spring Valley brand…and it was $10….and I’ve been using that faithfully since Sunday afternoon….and using about 3 TBSP …twice a day…and I’m telling you the truth….I woke up more alert and feeling better …already on Monday morning…and I just feel a ‘lift’…since Monday…..So this is a tiny jar for $10 so I’m going to order the Tropical Traditions on this page and try that….because I think those videos are TRUE…..I think a ‘little’ of this coconut oil….can work wonders……It’s hard to find a way to get it down….I made hot chocolate and put it in that …hahaha…well…I know that isn’t healthy…the hot chocolate…but I HAD to get the coconut oil down…hahaha And I melted some and put it in orange juice….you have to drink the juice fast…because that coconut oil hardens EXTREMELY fast….But I am SOLD on this stuff…..I’ll keep ya posted….
For those of you who live around Naples Florida…..I’m very upset about your 2 missing people…Flepia and Terrance….I think their names were…..We saw the story of their disappearance last night on tv and that deputy is as guilty as sin……WHY in the WORLD….can’t they get to the bottom of these disappearances? That deputy has SOMETHING in his past….to prove he’s prejucide….So you folks get in touch with the Collier County Sheriff’s office and you tell them to get back ON this….Get a group together…a church group…or school group of parents….and you go to that sheriff’s office and demand they put someone on this that can get to the bottom of it…..That deputy is a serial killer and I know they took his badge away….but he’s STILL a maniac and he’s STILL out and about in your county……goodness gracious…..
I wanted to see this one movie late last night when I wasn’t sleeping…but when it came on…I could tell it wasn’t a June Clever movie so I turned channels……but it was going to be about a man who got a job as a house sitter and witnessed a murder of someone next door……but after I turned channels….I got to thinking..”When someone goes to be a house sitter for someone else..WHO watches THEIR house? 
Well….I baked absolutely ALL DAY yesterday…….AND YES!!! I put coconut oil in my baked goods….so today I need to go make some deliveries….so we don’t have all of this yum yum stuff in the kitchen…..
The link below…..from the Cancer Beaters website…..is talking about healing your cancer naturally with cottage cheese and flax oil……that’s a big Johanna Budwig miracle cure from decades ago…and before you fall out of your chair laughing….let me just tell ya……THAT WORKS….so if you have cancer….you need to be eating cottage cheese and flax oil daily……….it’s something to do with that specific kind of protein and the specific kind of oil mixed together that makes it kill cancer cells….and I used to know this like the back of my hand but before I saw that link below…I had forgotten all about it…….they’re selling a book….but there’s some good info there…..well…priceless info…is what it is…….and yes….I’ve ordered that book…even though I have other books on this same ‘miracle cure’……..If you have cancer…or if you’re supposedly cured…I’d add that to my diet daily…….even if you don’t believe in this stuff…..it sure won’t hurt you and it just might help you……..I can’t WAIT to get my book….
